Now that Spring has sprung, so too have the Daisy flower. If you've played golf, you've likely encountered the pesky flower and lamented the headache they cause when searching for a golf ball. The white petals make finding a white golf ball rather difficult so Superintendents work tirelessly to eradicate them from the grounds every day. We recently selected the 17th hole as a test plot for a recently acquired herbicide. Notice in the photo below that the left side of the fairway is completely void of the Daisy flower while the right side is still home to our unwanted visitor. Application of the herbicide will continue throughout the spring so Daisies should be a thing of the past.
